To take action

Since collars, harnesses, bow ties, and bandanas are custom-made, it's important to take accurate measurements to ensure the product fits your dog's morphology.

All measurements should be taken with a tape measure. If you don't have a tape measure, you can use a piece of string and then measure the length of the string with a ruler or tape measure.

Collars

  • Measure your dog's neck circumference where the collar naturally sits. Make sure the tape measure isn't loose, but also isn't choking your dog. If the collar is too large, the dog can easily slip out, and if it's too tight, it will be uncomfortable or even dangerous for your dog.

Harnesses

  • Neck circumference: This is not measured in the same place as a collar, but a few centimeters below (towards the shoulders).
  • Chest circumference: This is where the back of the harness passes. The measurement should be taken 2 to 3 centimeters behind the elbow.
  • Back length: This is the length between the point on the spine where the chest circumference was measured and the withers (the small bony point felt at the base of the neck).
  • Belly length: This is the length between the point under the belly where the chest circumference was measured and the tip of the sternum (the bony point felt at the base of the throat).

Bandanas and Bow Ties

  • Take the neck circumference measurement as indicated for collars and add 5 centimeters.
Maintenance
  • BiothaneÂź: A simple wipe with a damp cloth is enough to clean it. No specific products are needed.
  • Paracord: Hand wash or wipe with a damp cloth; air dry, away from direct heat.
  • Stainless steel: A simple rinse with water is sufficient. Stainless steel does not require any specific products and retains its shiny appearance over time without any special treatment.
  • Fabrics: Although machine washing at 30°C is possible, it is recommended to hand wash fabric items.
  • Black and gold buckles may lose their color with wear and become grey.
